Clients – fussier than Ratner’s high-profile customers – were breathing down my neck, demanding their polished memories quicker than a New York minute. And my personal life? Let’s just say it started resembling Howard’s chaotic home life, minus the high-stakes sports betting, of course.

Thought about outsourcing, but the results were as disappointing as a rigged auction. So, I gambled on a different strategy. I trained a single editor personally, a process slower than Ratner’s cash influx, but the output was as dazzling as that rare Ethiopian opal.

This game plan was my big win. Suddenly there was time for family, room to scale the business, and even a newfound talent for teaching editing. Armed with an ensemble of editors as skilled as Ratner’s jeweler, I realized we could throw a life preserver to others lost in the sea of footage.
